How to prepare files?

 

 

File PDF/X-4:2008, Acrobat 5 (PDF 1.4) or later

1) Inside pages (all pages in one file)

a) bleeds on each side – 3 mm
b) internal margins – 12 mm (margin of the first and last page – at least 15 mm)
c) external margins – at least 5 mm
d) top and bottom margins – at least 5 mm
e) resolution of pictures and graphics – at least 240 dpi (colour space: preferably GRAY (print 1+1),
    CMYK, please include a colour profile;
f) black texts – 100% K (printed over)
g) black backgrounds – C 40%, M 40%, Y 40%, K 100%
h) contours and frames – at least 0.3 pt
i) markers – cutting lines and information about the page

2) Cover (after unfolding in one file)

a) saddle stitch binding: bleeds on each side – 5 mm
b) flexible binding: bleeds on each side – 5 mm (printing house prepares the mock-up)
c) hardcover: bleeds on each side – 15 mm (printing house prepares the mock-up)
d) resolution of pictures and graphics – at least 240 dpi (colour space: preferably CMYK,
    please include a colour profile; in the case of RGB colour space, the work will be converted into FOGRA 39 profile)
e) black texts – 100% K (printed over)
f) black backgrounds – C 40%, M 40%, Y 40%, K 100%
g) contours and frames – at least 0.3 pt
h) uv masks, embossing, etc. – 100% additional colour, printed over, called UV or Embossing)
i) markers – only cutting lines (offset: 13 mm) and information about the page

 

At request, the printing house makes available a file with InDesign export settings.
